Outdoor Rules

We follow basic FIFA rules. There are a few exceptions, the biggest being that there are unlimited subs. Here are a few other key points to remember:

  • Games must start on time. If a team has not taken the field by 10 after, that team will forfeit the match.
  • Passes and roster must be turned in to the ref before each game.
  • Shinguards must be worn by all players.
  • Spectators must be on the opposite side of the field from players. You must have a player card to be on the player side.
  • Dogs are not allowed at the park, as it is a county park.
  • Alcohol is not allowed at the park, as it is a county park.

New Zero Tolerance Policy

The CFSL has issued a ZERO tolerance Policy: Captains, Managers, and or players are prohibited from questioning ANY calls made by the Referee or Assistant Referees, there is to be no discussions pertaining to any call, none at all. The call has been made and the teams must abide by the officials' decisions.

All teams have been warned that disregarding this rule could be viewed as dissent and a card must be issued, that decision of course at the discretion of the officials.

Sincer 100% of the captains voted to lay the game and KEEP THEIR FOCUS!! The CFSL is requesting the assistance of the officials in "reminding" the captains at the coin toss of this rule and ensuring "across the fields" that no official allows a team leeway in regard to this rule as this might affect another official later in the season.

We are losing too many referees to rude, inconsiderate players and captains.

We are keeping track of YELLOW cards this season - any player that receives THREE yellow cards - will amount to a RED CARD and he must miss a game and pay a fine of $25.00.
